Skier critically injured in fall at Victorian alpine resort

A skier has been critically injured in an accident at Mount Baw Baw alpine resort, east of Melbourne.

It is believed the 32-year-old man fell and hit his head just after midday.

He went into cardiac arrest and had to be resuscitated and stabilised on the mountain.

He was airlifted to Royal Melbourne Hospital after clouds in the area cleared.
