Sixth person arrested over Brayden Dillon murder

A sixth person has been arrested over the alleged murder of teenager Brayden Dillon last year.

Detectives today arrested a 54-year-old male just after 6am as he arrived at Sydney’s International Airport from the USA.

He was taken to Surry Hills Police station where he was charged with accessory after the fact to murder, knowingly participate in criminal group assist crime, and do act with intent to pervert the course of justice.

The man is wanted in connection to Dillon’s murder in early 2017, when police were called to a home in Glenfield in Sydney’s south west to find the 15-year-old with a gunshot wound to this head.

Dillon was treated at the scene by NSW ambulance paramedics before being taken to Westmead Children’s hospital where he later died.

An investigation by the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad has since arrested and charged five people, all of whom remain before the courts.

Police will allege in court that the man arrested today coordinated and oversaw the production of false affidavits on behalf of others and passed information relating to the murder between various people.

The 54-year-old was refused bail and will appear at Central Local Court later today.

Shortly after this morning’s arrest strike force investigators executed a search warrant at a home in Yagoona, also in south-west Sydney. There they seized “a number of items” related to the investigation.
