Six-year-old boy drowns in Sydney swimming pool

A six-year-old boy has died after being found unconscious in a backyard pool in Raby, in Sydney’s south-west.

Emergency services were called to the home on Spitfire Drive just before 5.30pm.

The boy was rushed to the Children’s Hospital in Westmead, but died a short time after arriving.

Police are examining the circumstances of the incident.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
