Single body needed for Vic disability

A single oversight body is needed to handle complaints and stop abuse in Victoria's disability sector, a report says.

It also calls for a mandatory reporting scheme for those who work in disability care and become aware of abuse.

The Victorian parliamentary inquiry into abuse in disability care tabled its interim report on Thursday, recommending a single body to oversee the sector.
