Silverchair singer fined and suspended from driving after he was caught drunk behind the wheel

Australian singer Daniel Johns has been fined $880 and suspended from driving for 14 weeks after he was caught drink driving.
The Silverchair front man pleaded guilty to mid-range drink driving in November last year after police caught the 35-year-old travelling up to 80km/h in a 50km/h speed zone in Newcastle, NSW.
His black Jaguar was pulled over and Johns told police he had consumed four large wines.
Police recorded Johns had a blood-alcohol level of .126.
“I just made a mistake that I regret and luckily no one got hurt. I definitely won’t do it again,” he said at the time.
In recent days Johns has been spotted having dinner and wine in the northern beaches Sydney suburb of Dee Why with his girlfriend, fashion blogger Estelita Huijer.
