Man gunned down near child's birthday party in Western Sydney
A man has been shot outside a home in Sydney's west, forcing a terrified family to run for cover in the middle of their little girl's birthday party.
The party in Bletchley Place, Hebersham, was punctuated by gunshots and screaming about 2.30pm today.
Police shut down the street as a manhunt unfolded.

"I heard the first two shots," he told 9News.
"I jumped up on the fence to see what was going on and I seen someone leaning out of the window with a shotgun and firing at the guy laying on the ground."
