Massive tiger shark circles unwary swimmers
A pack of swimmers can count themselves lucky after stunning footage showed them frolicking near a tiger shark.
Kenny Melendez was filming with his drone in the early morning of November 24 when he "noticed what looked to be a moving shadow" near the swimmers in the sea off Miami Beach in the US.
He thought the animal was a tiger shark based on the stripes visible on its body, but it wasn't until he filmed the shark and swimmers in the same frame that he fully appreciated the size of the animal.
The shark appears to measure about two to three metres in length.
Both shark and humans appear unfazed by each other's presence in the video, though likely only due to the swimmers being blissfully unaware of the shark's presence.
