Shark spotted at Aspendale Beach in Port Philip Bay
Swimmers and surfers have been told to leave the water after a shark was spotted on Aspendale Beach in Melbourne's south.
The 1.5m shark was spotted by the Westpac rescue helicopter just before 3pm this afternoon.

Lifeguards are also at the scene monitoring the situation.
It is rare for sharks to get so close to swimmers in Port Philip Bay.
