Seven children involved in stolen car smash
Seven children are in hospital after the stolen car they were travelling in crashed in Perth’s south overnight.
Police said they spotted the Honda CRV travelling south on the Mitchell Freeway just before 1am.
It’s alleged the 18-year-old woman behind the wheel refused to stop, sparking a police chase on Mill Point Road.
Officers lost sight of the car, but moments later it slammed through a fence and crashed into a parked car on Labouchere Road in Como.
Witnesses rushed to the scene to help, as one by one seven children stepped out of the crumpled car along with the driver.
The 18-year-old along with the youngsters - six girls aged between 11 and 17, and an 11-year-old boy - were all arrested at the scene.
They were all taken to hospital with minor injuries.
No charges have been laid, and investigations are ongoing.
