Senate urges govt to replace Broderick

The Senate has called on the federal government to appoint a female sex discrimination commissioner without delay.
The Greens and Labor joined forces to move the motion in the Senate on Wednesday, saying it had been more than 150 days since the former commissioner Elizabeth Broderick stepped down.
The motion calls for the full-time position to be filled without delay, following several recent high-profile examples of sexism and sexual harassment.
