Second Hawthorn Hawks player accused of sexual assault

A second Hawthorn Hawks player is under investigation over sexual assault allegations.

On Friday, the club said one player, who was not a part of a premiership team, was under investigation by Victoria Police.

In a statement this afternoon, Hawthorn confirmed two players were now under investigation.

A 19-year-old woman has alleged she was sexually assaulted in the back of a taxi in the early hours of October 9.

A second claim alleges another assault occurred at a home in Ashwood, following the AFL grand final.

Hawthorn said they would cooperate fully with police while the claims are investigated.
