Seatless Vic MP wants upper house spot

Victorian MP Mary Wooldridge is making a run for the upper house in her hunt for a new seat.
The community services minister lost pre-selection for the seat of Kew earlier this month after her own lower house seat of Doncaster was abolished in a redistribution.
She announced on Tuesday that she will seek pre-selection for the Legislative Council seat of Eastern Metropolitan Region, which takes in her current electorate of Doncaster.

Premier Denis Napthine showed his support for Ms Wooldridge last week, when he included her in his cabinet team despite her not having a new seat yet.
