Missing diver found dead off Victoria’s Point Lonsdale

The body of a diver has been found a day after he went missing off the coast of Lonsdale Wall, near the Victorian town of Queenscliff.

The 60-year-old man was on a SCUBA diving tour off the Bellarine Peninsula when he failed to re-surface about 10.55am yesterday.

Authorities launched a search soon after, but could not find him yesterday. Crews found his body about midday today, police said.

The man’s family has been notified and a  report will be prepared for the Coroner.
