Kayaker still missing off Vic coast

A second day of searching has failed to find a Melbourne kayaker missing in waters off Phillip Island.

Water police and volunteers will resume the search for the 63-year-old on Tuesday after the full-day search on Monday failed to find any more than the Parkville man's kayak.

The vessel was found with no paddles at Red Rock Point on the island shortly after the search began at 8am on Monday.

He has been missing since Sunday night.

Authorities will determine whether the search will continue on Wednesday morning.
