Search for armed bandit who threatened convenience store clerk

Police are hunting for a man who held up a convenience store in Sydney’s inner west overnight.

The man entered the Glebe store just before 9pm armed with a large knife and with his face covered.

He approached and threatened the 23-year-old attendant before demanding money.

An investigation is underway in an attempt to identify the man who is described as being of Mediterranean or Middle Eastern appearance, approximately 175cm tall and of medium build.

He was wearing a yellow shirt, dark grey hooded-jumper, jeans with white sneakers and was carrying a bag with a ‘West Tigers’ logo on it.
