Missing Queensland diver revealed to be Norwegian national
Multiple search crews have been deployed off the coast of Brisbane following reports of a missing diver.
9News understands the diver, a 20-year-old Norwegian national, went missing after going out to a popular dive site just off North Stradbroke Island with two other people he met that morning.
When the man failed to resurface, boaties attempted to look for him for 30 minutes before raising the alarm with authorities just before 11am.

Several water police and coast guard watercraft have assisted with efforts along with PolAir and the Rescue 500 helicopter, but have been hampered with fast-moving currents and strong winds lashing the area.
It's understood police are trying to alert the man's family in Norway.
The search and rescue operation is the third launched in the region within the past three months, following the disappearance of fisherman Trent Riley and surf skier Jordan Kelly
