Same-sex couples in South Australia can legally adopt children from Friday, as changes to adoption legislation come into effect.

Child Development Minister Susan Close will meet with same-sex couples and their families at Parliament House this afternoon to mark the shift.
A bill containing the changes was among a number to pass SA parliament late last year aimed at ending discrimination against the LGBTIQ community.
