Sam Worthington and Lara Bingle facing $10m lawsuit

Australian actor Sam Worthington and his model girlfriend Lara Bingle are reportedly facing a $10m lawsuit following a scuffle outside a New York bar in February.

Photographer Sheng Li has accused the Avatar star and his girlfriend of assault, TMZ reported.

The paparazzo claimed he suffered injuries in the brawl, including a torn shoulder, facial contusions and injuries to his thumb and wrist.

Worthington was arrested after he allegedly punched the photographer, who was said to have “kicked” Bingle.

Video footage of the incident showed the couple trying to snatch the photographer’s camera out of his hands as he curls up on the ground, pushed up against the bonnet of a car.

Worthington had an assault charge dismissed in April with the condition of six months of good behaviour.
