Four armed men invade a home in Sydney's north-west overnight
Four men have broken into the home of a 48-year-old man while wearing balaclavas and armed with machetes.
At 1.10am, emergency services responded to reports of a home invasion in Sackville on Madeleine Place.
Hawkesbury police were told that the 48-year-old man awoke to four armed men inside a bedroom at 12.30am.

The man was then taken to the backyard of the home, where he and a 22-year-old man were locked in a self-contained unit.
The men were able to escape 40 minutes later, however, the four men had left the scene by that point.
No injuries were reported and police have established a crime scene as investigations into a potential case of mistaken identity are being conducted.
