Youths held over SA car theft and crash

Three young people have been arrested for allegedly stealing a woman's car at knifepoint then crashing it into a tree in Adelaide.

The trio, aged 15, 14 and 12, allegedly threatened a youth worker with a knife to steal her car in North Adelaide on Tuesday morning then immediately drove the vehicle into a nearby tree.

Police say the young people have been taken to hospital with minor injuries after being arrested at the scene and are likely to be charged later on Tuesday.
