Year 7 to be high school for many SA kids
AAP
Year 7 will become the first year of high school for many South Australian children, rather than the last of primary school, due to a change in Catholic education.
Catholic Education SA says the move will help teachers better meet students' needs and will take place at most of its schools in the state by 2019.
"With one in five South Australian school children in a Catholic school, the move will be a significant one," director Helen O'Brien says.
