South Australian car industry workers and companies will be helped by a Labor government to transition into new jobs and new work, Labor Senator Penny Wong says.
The opposition has pledged $59 million to help cover the loss of car manufacturing in Australia by the end of next year, including $17.5 million for SA.
"This is an investment to ensure that South Australians can transition to a brighter future, a future which is all about jobs, all about well-paying jobs and all about security," Senator Wong told reporters in Adelaide on Monday.
