* Detective Sergeant Geoffrey Bowen died after he opened a parcel bomb delivered to the NCA office in Adelaide's CBD

* Lawyer Peter Wallis was seriously injured

* Adelaide man Domenic Perre was arrested over Det Sgt Bowen's murder, but the charges were dropped six months later because of a lack of evidence

* A 1999 coronial inquiry concluded Perre made and sent the bomb but prosecutors maintained they did not have enough evidence to secure a conviction

* A $1 million reward offered for information leading to a conviction remains in place
