WA man faces court over deadly SA crash

A Perth man charged over a truck crash that killed his son has faced court for the first time in Adelaide.

Tuan Khanh Nguyen, 58, was charged with death by dangerous driving after the truck he was driving slammed into a tree at Coorabie, about 160 kilometres west of Ceduna, in August.

His 27-year-old son died at the scene while Nguyen was treated for minor injuries at Ceduna Hospital.

Magistrate Mark Semmens on Wednesday continued Nguyen's bail and excused him from attending a January appearance at Adelaide Magistrates Court.

Nguyen, who will need a Vietnamese translator, made no comment as he left court with his lawyer and family members.
