Total fire bans in seven SA districts
Authorities have declared total fire bans in seven South Australian districts.
The bans on Monday take in the Northwest Pastoral, Eastern Eyre Peninsula, Flinders, Mid North, Mount Lofty Ranges, Yorke Peninsula and Murraylands districts.
The Country Fire Service anticipates a severe fire danger in all of the seven regions.
The bans come after an angle grinder sparked a blaze that completely destroyed a holiday home in Robertstown, in South Australia's lower Mid North.
The use of metal cutting tools is not allowed during total fire bans, but the Mid North district was not under a ban on Sunday.
Crews were called to a grass fire on Silo Road just after 3pm on Sunday, but upon arrival found the fire had spread to a house on the property.
About 50 firefighters from 10 appliances took an hour to get the fire under control.
Damage is estimated at $70,000.
