Top SA bureaucrat stepping down

South Australia Premier Jay Weatherill's top bureaucrat has announced he is stepping down because of a family illness.
Kym Winter-Dewhirst will be replaced as the chief executive of the Department of Premier and Cabinet by Don Russell, currently the head of the Department for State Development.
"I was saddened to hear the news of Mr Winter-Dewhirst's wife's illness and I am deeply grateful for his outstanding service to the South Australian community," Premier Jay Weatherill said in announcing the changes on Monday.
