Thieves pinch distinctive DIY car in SA

A bespoke home-made racing car has been stolen from a property in South Australia.

The dirt circuit racing car, which does not have an outer shell or windows, was stolen at Cowell, on Eyre Peninsula, sometime between Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning.

Police say witnesses spotted the car being towed on a sedan's trailer, driving through Cowell early on Tuesday and later on the Lincoln Highway.
