Teens rescued from cliff face south of Adelaide after photo stunt goes wrong

A group of Adelaide teenagers has been rescued after being trapped on a cliff face at Second Valley for three hours overnight.

Three teenage boys, one 16-year-old and two 15-year-olds, were on the cliffs near the camping ground at Second Valley attempting to take photos when they became stuck in an inaccessible area.

More than 20 emergency services volunteers were called to the scene to help with the rescue before the boys were winched to safety by a PolAir helicopter.

“Me and my friends went up to the cliff trying to get a good photo and just see some sights and ended up getting stuck half way,” one of the boys told 9NEWS.

“Don’t go for a photo,” another said.

“Not worth it at all.”

Paramedics treated the boys for minor scratches and grazes at the scene and one was taken to hospital as a precaution.

A fourth boy was later discovered to be out on the cliffs as well, but was able to get himself to safety.
