Teens detained after fatal SA crash

Two teenagers allegedly in a stolen ute that crashed into three cars in Adelaide, killing a woman, will remain in custody after facing court.

The boys, 15 and 17, appeared in the Adelaide Youth Court on Friday .

Neither applied for bail and they were remanded in youth detention.

They were arrested over a crash that killed a 48-year-old woman on the Southern Expressway in Belford Park on Thursday night.

The teenagers fled but were soon caught and arrested, police say.

Two others were taken to hospital in a serious condition after the high-speed crash.

Police say the alleged driver, 15, from Sturt, broke into a house in Onkaparinga Hills and stole the ute.

He was charged with aggravated dangerous driving causing death, the illegal use of a vehicle and serious criminal trespass.

The older boy, from Morphett Vale, is charged with illegal use of a vehicle and breach of bail.

The pair will return to court on November 2.
