Teen who killed grandpa to be sentenced

A Queensland teenager who murdered her grandfather in Adelaide will hear statements from a number of people affected by the killing, a court has heard.

Brittney Dwyer, 19, has pleaded guilty to the murder of her 81-year-old grandfather Robert Whitwell, whose body was found in his Craigmore home last August.

Dwyer faced the South Australia Supreme Court on Tuesday where prosecutors said a number of victim impact statements will be read during sentencing submissions on May 1.
