Tanker in flames on SA's Eyre Peninsula

A fuel tanker has rolled and burst into flames on South Australia's Eyre Peninsula.

The driver of the rig has escaped the wreckage unharmed after the incident on the Eyre Highway, east of Kimba, on Thursday morning.

The highway is expected to be blocked in both directions for several hours, police say.

The Country Fire Service says the fire is causing a significant amount of smoke which is visible from the Kimba township.
