Surgery delays SA murder sentencing
AAP
Sentencing submissions for a man who murdered an 80-year-old Adelaide pensioner have been delayed while he recovers from major surgery.
In April, Damien Joseph Jelicic, 58, was found guilty of the murder of Nicola Piscioneri who was bashed to death with a metal bar as he sat at his computer in his suburban Hendon home in March, 2013.
In the Supreme Court on Monday, defence counsel Grant Algie told the court that his client remained in hospital on an intravenous antibiotic drip as he recovers from a major operation.
