Staff escape SA car workshop fire

Workers have escaped a fire at a crash repair workshop in Adelaide's east.

The blaze is thought to have started in a spray booth and spread to the roof space of the workshop in Kent Town.

Up to 10 staff were inside at the time but escaped without injury.

About 45 firefighters extinguished the blaze, saving a number of cars and preventing a running fuel fire from spreading to a neighbouring timber furniture store.

Police are investigating the cause.
