South Australian power line restored

One of the main transmission lines damaged in South Australia's wild storm is back up and running.

Transmission company ElectraNet says crews built temporary towers to repair the line near Melrose after it was brought down by destructive winds on September 28, causing a statewide blackout.

ElectraNet says it expects to have another circuit repaired in the next few days provided weather conditions remain stable.
