Strong winds tear through Adelaide as severe weather warning remains in place
Gusty winds are tearing through Adelaide tonight, as a severe weather warning remains in place.
The Bureau of Meteorology has issued an alert for damaging winds, as gusts develop with a strong cold front.
Strong northerly winds are occurring ahead of a change, moving across north and central South Australia this evening.

A strong cold front is expected to follow in the south, reaching Eyre Peninsula this evening, followed by Adelaide and the South East late in the evening or early tomorrow.
The cold front is predicted to bring strong to damaging north-west to westerly winds, along with showers and isolated thunderstorms.

The damaging wind risk will continue overnight and tomorrow, before moving to the south and east and clearing by the evening.
The warning comes after strong winds brought trees down across several suburbs, including Millswood.
