SA'S SOARING ROAD TOLL:
* 113 people killed on SA roads in 2019, up from a record low of 80 in 2018
* 66 per cent of fatal crashes occurred on regional roads

* 60 of those killed were drivers
* 21 pedestrians lost their lives
* 17 motorcyclists were killed
* 7 cyclists died
* 12 of those killed were aged under 20
* Nearly one quarter of all lives lost were men aged over 70
* Another 700 people suffered serious injuries in road crashes
* South Australia's worst year for road deaths came in 1974 when 382 were killed
