South Aust motorists nabbed on the phone

More than 50 motorists a day are being caught in South Australia using their mobile phones, raising significant safety concerns.

Four days into a nine-day crackdown police have nabbed 204 people for driving while using their phones.

"I don't know of a single person who does not understand the risks created by someone being distracted by their mobile phone while driving. Yet people keep doing it which I find simply astonishing," Superintendent Anthony Fioravanti said.
