Target in Adelaide shooting has bikie link

A man with links to outlaw motorcycle gangs and the drug trade has been targeted in an early morning shooting in Adelaide, police say.

The man escaped injury when shots were fired at his suburban home in the inner south about 2am on Friday.

"This is not a random incident, this is targeted," Chief Inspector Scott Fitzgerald from the crime gangs task force said.

"The male occupant is known to police and has links to outlaw motorcycle gangs."

Police searched the area around the suburban Westbourne Park property with a number of spent cartridges recovered from the front garden.

Neither the shooter nor the gun have been found.
