A wild brawl has broken out between a customer and a security guard inside an Adelaide CBD McDonald’s.

The fight erupted inside the restaurant at the intersection of West Terrace and Hindley Street just before 6am yesterday.

Video of the scuffle filmed by a witness showed the man and security guard trading blows before they fell to the ground and continued to brawl.

Customer Kristie Buttner said the altercation was sparked by comments directed at her friend by three men.

"There were these three guys surrounding her, laughing and everything," Ms Buttner told 9NEWS.

"She then told me some of the remarks said to her – I then got angry."

She said the security guard stepped in to intervene, with a subsequent confrontation quickly escalating.

"The guy then started pushing the security guard, and that’s when it all just broke out," she said.

"Everyone was getting pushed everywhere, people were getting their food out of the way.

"It was just ridiculous."

Police have confirmed they were called to the store just before 6am yesterday, and three men were asked to leave. No arrests were made.

The video of the fight was passed on to police this afternoon and is now being examined by officers.

The McDonald’s outlet is the same venue in which another fight occurred last year.
