Search resumes for elderly hiker missing in South Australian bushland

The search for an elderly hiker, missing in South Australia’s Flinders Ranges, has now entered its second day.

Emergency services today resumed their search for the 76-year-old man, who has not been seen since 11am yesterday.

He was last spotted at Wangara Lookout in Wilpena Pound wearing a blue jumper, grey tracksuit pants and a straw-brimmed hat.

South Australian police, the State Emergency Service and fire crews failed to find any trace of the man yesterday.

A police helicopter will again be deployed today in an attempt to find any trace of the missing man.

Another elderly man went missing in the same area last week and was found safe and well the following morning.
