South Australian winemaker Peter Fraser has been named winemaker of the year in the prestigious Halliday Wine Companion awards.
Based at Yangarra Estate at Kangarilla in SA's southern vales, Mr Fraser has been involved in the wine industry since the early 1990s.
The Halliday awards named the 2014 Serrat Shiraz from the Yarra Valley the wine of the year and Tahbilk in Victoria the winery of the year.
