SA Toyota suppliers to get support funds

South Australian companies that supply parts to Toyota will receive funding from the car giant to help some of their workers find new jobs, the state government says.

Toyota is distributing $3 million to its suppliers nationally, and companies like Adelaide's Axiom Precision Manufacturing will be among those to benefit from grants starting at $5000.

The funding will go towards training and other services to help automotive workers find other jobs when Toyota stops making cars in Australia in October.
