SA teen arrested on detention centre roof

A 16-year-old boy has been found hiding out on the roof of an Adelaide detention centre after two other inmates escaped.

Two teenagers, aged 16 and 17, were earlier arrested after police stopped a train in the city's southern suburbs on Thursday morning.

They had escaped from the detention centre on Wednesday night, taking a taxi to the train station and refusing to pay.

The two teenagers will appear in the Elizabeth Youth Court on Thursday charged with escaping custody.

The third detainee was bailed to appear in the court on November 9, charged with attempting to escape custody.
