SA teens charged over New Years assault

Two teenage girls have been charged following an assault in Adelaide on New Years Day.

Two men and a woman were robbed at 3.30am on January 1 as they walked across Festival Plaza, police say.

All three needed medical attention following the incident.

A 16-year-old Christies Beach girl was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and breach of bail.

A 16-year-old Mitchell Park girl was arrested and charged with five counts of aggravated theft and three counts of attempted aggravated theft.

Both were bailed to appear in court at a later date.
