A security guard has been punched in the head by a man outside a hotel on South Australia's Eyre Peninsula.
The 21-year-old allegedly attacked the guard, fracturing his jaw and causing him to collapse and hit his head, after being kicked out of a Port Lincoln hotel just before midnight on Saturday, police say.
The accused fled the scene but was caught by an off-duty police officer. He has been bailed to appear in the Port Lincoln Magistrates Court on February 8, charged with aggravated assault causing harm.
