Man faces weapons charge over gun scare
AAP
A man at the centre of a gun scare that closed some schools and childcare centres in Adelaide's southern suburbs is facing a weapons charge.
A member of the public alerted police to a man, who was thought to be armed, acting suspiciously at Happy Valley just before 9.30am on Monday.
Police spoke to the 39-year-old before allowing schools and childcare centres to reopen.

He was later reported for possession of an offensive weapon after nunchucks, but no gun, were found in his house.
He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
