MINING

- SA's nuclear royal commission has found there is scope for growing the state's existing uranium mining industry, however it is not the most significant opportunity within the nuclear fuel cycle.

PROCESSING

- No scope for developing uranium processing facilities in an already oversupplied and uncertain global market.

GENERATION

- Not commercially viable to generate electricity from a nuclear power plant in the near future but worth planning for a long-term shift to low-carbon emissions.

STORAGE

- Strong opportunities for SA to store and dispose of the world's used nuclear fuel, with potential to generate billions in revenue and thousands of jobs.
