South Australian plane crash victim was Vietnam veteran

A 70-year-old pilot who died in a light plane crash in South Australia was a Vietnam veteran.

Melrose man Geoff Arthur was killed when his single-engine plane hit powerlines and came down in Washpool, about 85km east of Port Pirie, yesterday afternoon.

Friends say the Vietnam veteran and keen bowler was a "kind, gentle man who would do anything for anybody."
