SA parolee arrested after cutting off tag

A 39-year-old South Australian parolee has been arrested after cutting off his electronic tracker.

Daniel Weetra presented himself at a police station just before 3.30pm on Saturday, SA Police said.

Police were advised that Weetra had breached his parole conditions just before 10pm Friday night and failed to return to the Adelaide Pre-Release Centre.

They advised the public not to approach Weetra but to report his whereabouts.

Police have thanked the public for their assistance.
