SA parents 'do school runs while high'

Drugged up South Australian parents are driving their children to school, police say.

Four parents tested positive to methamphetamine while ferrying their children to and from schools in Adelaide and the state's regions on Monday.

One woman was caught dropping off her two primary school-aged children in the city's north while a man tested positive for drugs while running his teenaged son to school in the southern suburbs.

Two women were also discovered driving their children to and from schools in SA's southeast while on methamphetamine.

Another three drivers in school zones during drop-off and pick-up times tested positive for drugs.

"It is particularly concerning that drivers are attempting to navigate peak-hour traffic and bumper-to-bumper cars outside school drop-off zones with children on board while under the influence of drugs," Inspector Steve Kameniar said on Tuesday.
